With the release of games such as Frostgrave, we have expanded our 28mm range of buildings to include some things such as ruins and paving pieces, all of which are on 6" tiles so that they are interchangeable to suit your own needs and desires.
Here you can see some WIP pictures of the range, at this time they are still prototypes and changes may be made however they are hopefully going to be available within the coming weeks and months.
Above you can see a corner section of a ruin with a staircase integrated into it.
Above we have a 1 story ruin building and below is a 2 story version with an internal floor.
Below is a 3 piece floor set including a wizards pentangle.
Above is a raised dais and below is the wizards pentangle this time with 4 broken columns.
Below we have a stepped section with elevated platforms.
For now friends, adios! For I am away to Mexico, see you all in a few weeks time.

Oh damn, just when I got my credit card balance to a manageable level...
ReplyDeleteLooking good!
I like this idea of a range of standard sized ‘blocks’ that can be arranged as required. We have seen ruins and fancier pieces as well but presumably things like paved or cobbled roads and blanks for basing or creating your own pieces will follow. Small buildings might fit on a single tile but larger ones could be made up by combining the ends (of which we have seen the prototypes on this page), corners and walls as required.
ReplyDeleteSingle layers of MDF are a little thin, having a scale thickness of 10cm, roughly the equivalent of a single brick but adding more inflates the price and can be a right misery to assemble so are an acceptable compromise.
I am quite excited about this line and will eagerly await its release.
The main idea if this system is flexibility. To enable the gamer to start with a few basic tiles, then to add to them as necessity demands. We'll add a couple of corners and straights to the system before release.
DeleteWe won't be doing these thicker than 2 layers of MDF as '2mm' MDF is sometimes as thin as 1.7mm and as thick as 2.3mm, which is why other manufacturers encounter problems when designing kits with multiple layers.
Thanks for the encouraging comments.
These look spiffing, but I can't find them in your webshop... any idea when they will be available?
ReplyDeleteWe are working on a few more designs which need to go through the prototype stage. Once we are happy that we have the complete catalogue for this range we will list them onto our website. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for the announcement.
